John Lynch Obituary
John Lynch, age 88 of Clovis, NM passed away on February 26, 2014, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM.
John was born on July 12, 1925, to John Joseph and Velma (Hughes) Lynch in Santa Rita, NM.
He was a Clovis resident since 1946 and served in the United States Navy during WWII. John worked for McDaniels Floor Covering for nineteen years. He opened and operated his own business until his retirement due to illness. John was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Peggy Lynch of the home; one daughter Sandy Brownlow (Rick) of Plano, TX; two brothers: Bob Lynch (Del) of Clovis, NM and Joe Roberts (Gloria) of Wickenburg, AZ; one sister: Noeta McDaniel of Livermore, CA; two granddaughters: Summer Edwards (Nick) of Allen, TX and Autumn Brownlow of Plano, TX; great granddaughter Jadyn Edwards of Allen, TX and great grandson Jayce Chancellor of Plano, TX; nieces: Tracy (Rick) Wooley and Chris (Mark) McClain, all of Clovis, NM; nephew Doug (Kathy) Lynch of Portales, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his mother: Velma Roberts and step-father Noe Roberts and his sister: Mary Flud.
Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis with Pastor Joseph Blaschke officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Casket bearers are John's family and honorary casket bearers are all of John's friends and neighbors.
