Herbert Eugene Bergstrom passed away on August 1, 2014, at the age of 97 in Lubbock, Texas.

That night during the meeting, I thought the Lord wanted me to do something, so I went forward to ask for ,prayer. When the pastor prayed for me, he asked the Lord to reveal what His will was for me. Then, clear as a bell, the Lord said He wanted me to preach. I'll never forget that experience that night."

He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and moved to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a second Bachelor Degree in Divinity with a minor in Greek New Testament and later receiving his Doctorate in Theology from Southern Theological Seminary.
