In May the friends and family of Jim gathered together for a celebration of life. Over 200 people showed up for friends, fellowship and food. Jim was so overwhelmed that he had made an impression on so many people's lives. We are so grateful that our community stepped up in so many ways. The family would like to send a special Thank You to Kanawha Hospice, nurse Sallie Starkey, social worker Libby Smith and Dr. Boggess and to everyone that stopped in to say "Hi", sent a card or note, dropped off food or said a small prayer.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cazy Freewill Baptist Church, Cazy, WV in James' memory.

Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Cazy Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Price, Mike Allen and the Rev. Gary Hunt officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens, Madison.
