Sheryl Kay Forinash, age 66, died January 31, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Sherry, as she was known to all family and friends, was born August 14, 1947 in Valley Head, WV, the daughter of the late Woodrow and Alice Rosencrance Forinash. Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Oran "Kip" Trimble Jr., devoted son, Oran "Rusty" Trimble and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth London, all of Kannapolis, North Carolina and cherished grandsons, Andrew Trimble of Princeton, West Virginia and Israel "Izzy" Trimble of Kannapolis, North Carolina. Sherry had four step-children, David, Michael, Brent (deceased) Trimble and Jennifer Trimble Locklear whom she loved and was loved by in return. All surviving step-children live in the Charlotte, NC area. Sherry also had 14 step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn Sherry's passing is her brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Shelton Forinash of Milton, West Virginia and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Michelle Trimble of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sherry also had a sister, Shelia Ruth Forinash who died as a child.
Educated in the Madison schools, Sherry graduated from Scott High School with the Class of 1965 and, subsequently, from Marshall University with an AB degree in Elementary and Special Education. She taught in Boone, Kanawha and Nicholas Counties in West Virginia and the Charlotte Mecklenburg schools in North Carolina. During her years living in Madison, Sherry was a member of Madison Methodist Church (a member of the choir) and of the Madison Rebecca Lodge.
Sherry requested that her remains be cremated and interned beside those of her parents and sister.
A graveside memorial service will take place on May 25, 2014 at the Brick Church Cemetery, Huttonsville, WV.
Sherry was best characterized by her optimism and her love and devotion to family. Her family continues to celebrate her life but misses her very much.
