Julia M. Taylor, 62, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
Julia was born Jan. 24, 1950, in Douglas, Ga., to the late Freeman and Fannie Pearl Davis. She attended public schools in Coffee County. She served faithfully as the church mother of the Temple of Praise Church Ministries in Hinesville, under the leadership of Dr. Kevin L. Betton, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Julia Martha Williams, and brother, Johnnie Lee Davis.
She is survived by four daughters, Sonya Davis of Hinesville, Tina (Melvin) Williams of Baxley, Felicia (Mitchell) Conoway of Graham and Michelle Reynolds of Sandersville. She also leaves behind a loving and devoted sister, Jacqueline James of Orlando, Fla., four brothers, Thomas Edwards of Savannah, Earl Davis of Riviera Beach, Fla., Richard and Donnie Davis of Douglas; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a loving aunt; Dorothy Holloway of Washington, D.C.; and a host of very special nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by a multitude of family members and friends.
Words will never describe how much she will be missed.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Her homegoing service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at The Temple of Praise Church Ministries in Hinesville with Dr. Kevin L. Betton Sr. officiating.
Dorchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
