Virginia May Verschage, 83, passed away at her Hinesville home, Saturday, April 25, 2015, with family by her side while under the care of hospice. Mrs. Verschage was born May 2, 1931, to the late Walter and Beatrice Bolmquist. She was a native of High Park, Massachusetts, who had lived in Liberty County since 1979 having moved here from Germany. Mrs. Verschage was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She loved shopping, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Verschage was of the Catholic faith. She will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Verschage of Hinesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Chuck Young of Hinesville and Betty and Robert Kellar of Hinesville; sons and daughters-in-law John and Tricia Verschage of Ft. Riley, Kansas, George and Moe Henderson of Surprise, Arizona, Sam and Toni Henderson of Centertown, Kentucky, and Ricky and Teresa Henderson of North Tonawanda, New York; grandchildren, Alan Young, Steven Young, Cody Verschage, Ashleigh Verschage, Savannah Verschage, Hunter Verschage, Brooklyn Kellar, Alyssa Kellar, Samuel Henderson, Jordan Greer, Karalyn Henderson, Ciara Henderson, Debbie Henderson, Crystal Henderson and Brandy Henderson; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with Deacon Doug Delzeith officiating. Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
