Donald A. Thomas

Donald A. Thomas, 67, of Hinesville, died Saturday, Feb. 09, 2013, at Liberty Regional Medical Center after an apparent heart attack.
The Wayne County native had lived in Hinesville for 44 years, was a 1964 Wayne County High School graduate, and a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. He retired in 2005 from DPW civil service and was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Hettie Mae McBee Thomas; two sisters, Lou Jean Roberts and Carolyn Thomas.
Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Cathy Hamilton Thomas of Hinesville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly and Bobby Ryon of Midway and Rhonda Thomas of Statesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Tracy Thomas of Warren, R.I.; grandchildren, Ryan Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Sean Thomas, Riley Davis, Peyton Davis, Bradi Ryon, Olivia Tedder, Jennifer Long and Stephen Ryon; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Mallory Long; two sisters, Joanne Lee of Plano, Texas, and Annette Arenz of Hanover, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Rance and Jean Thomas of Orange Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Hinesville with Deacon Richard Halbur officiating. Interment services will be in the Screven City Cemetery with the American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag.
Pallbearers will be Delane Crawford, Geoffrey Crawford, Brian Crawford, Stephen Ryon, Dana Long and Jay Harwell.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home in Jesup.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the St. Stephen Catholic Church, 399 Woodland Drive, Hinesville, Ga. 31313.
