James Glen "Jimmy" Teague, 67, of Lyons passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.
Jimmy was born Aug. 30, 1946, in Ft. Jackson, S.C., to the late John Glen and Annie Elizabeth (Allmond) Teague. He was a graduate of Bradwell Institute. Jimmy was a defensive tackle with the Bradwell Lions during his high school years. He helped lead the Lions to a state championship in December 1965.
He will be remembered and dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his daughter, Melissa Teague Sharp of Metter; son, Glen Teague of Milledgeville; special friend, Pat Williams of Lyons; stepdaughter, Heather Cleary; brother, William "Billy" Teague of Midway; sisters, Martha Teague Mobley of Gum Branch and Ruth Teague Bitzer of Midway; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington.
