Jean Adams, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Liberty Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
She was a native of Douglas and lived the past 35 years in Liberty County. She was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church and a member of the Class of Joy. She worked at Fort Stewart Bowling Lane and loved to bowl.
Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Woody Adams of Gum Branch; one son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Casey Adams of Gum Branch; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Alvin Caines and Bo and Mike Croft of Gum Branch; her mother, Myrtice Collins of Douglas; one brother, Russell Collins of Douglas; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Gum Branch Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gum Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Brinkley and Buddy Wasson officiating. Burial will be in Gum Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J.W. Caines, Joshua Caines, Michael Croft, Jeffrey Harrison, George Keithley and Clay Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Class of Joy.
