Ranoda Boyer Gronefeld, 41, of Savannah and Hinesville, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
She was born in Germany and lived in Hinesville for 10 years. Ranoda graduated from Bradwell Institute and went to work with the pre-kindergarteners at Habersham YMCA. She also worked at Jacob G. Smith Elementary in Savannah as a paraprofessional. She was a member of Savannah Christian Church where she volunteered her time.
She was predeceased by her father, Lee Edward Boyer, and sister, Darlene Boyer.
Survivors are her husband, Jay Gronefeld of Ellabell; daughter, Rebecca Marie Mason of Ellabell; two stepsons, Eric and Zach Gronefeld of Ellabell; mother, Joan Boyer of Hinesville; three sisters, Sharon Boyer Fagerstrom of Savannah, Bonita Boyer Miller of Cookstown, N.J., and Lisa Boyer Cantey of Baxley; three brothers, Lee R. Boyer of Hinesville, Cyril F. Boyer and Clayton D. Boyer, both of Richmond Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lee Raymond Boyer, Cyril Boyer, Clayton D. Boyer, Dean Fagerstrom, William Cantey, and Ellis Miller.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Her funeral will begin at 2 and burial will follow at Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
