Mrs. Uldine M. Miller, 82, of Ludowici passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Liberty Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
She was born in Pembroke and had lived in Ludowici most of her life. She retired from teaching after 30 years, then served as director of Wayne Service Center for 10 years. She was a graduate of Ludowici High School where she played basketball, and was a graduate of Georgia Teacher's College (now Georgia Southern University). She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a member of Ludowici First Baptist Church and the Berean Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Miller.
Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Roy Lee Miller; daughters and son-in-law, Dean and Robert Brown and Roxy Christian, all of Ludowici; a son and daughter-in-law, R.L. Miller and Patricia of Jacksonville; a sister, Lona Clark of Virginia; a brother, Paul McGowan Sr. of Midway; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Ludowici First Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Burial will follow in the Baggs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bubba McGowan, Shawn McGowan, Terry Crews, Ben Crews, Matt Lester and Chris Robbins.
