Willie Barrett Jr., 58, of Midway departed this life on Monday, May 20, 2013, at his home.
Ricky, as he was known to his family and friends, was born to loving parents, the late Willie Barrett Sr. and Elizabeth Frasier Barrett. He was a member of Zion Temple Holiness Church. He worked at Interstate Paper in Riceboro for 18 years.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Doris L. Barrett; one daughter, Anitra (Antonio) Golden; three sons, Willie (Kristen) Barrett III, Chad Barrett of Midway and Chevis Stewart of Hinesville; one sister, Gail Barrett of Midway; three brothers, Richard L. (Priscilla) Barrett and Troy L. (Shandra) Barrett, both of Richmond, Va., and James C. Barrett Sr. of Midwayia; one uncle, Chester (Minerva) Barrett; three aunts, Eunice Richardson, Elouise Barrett and Annie M. Stewart; and five grandchildren, Antonio and Ahmad Golden, Chad Barrett, Landon Barrett and Vanessa Stewart.
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, May 25, at First African Missionary Baptist Church in Riceboro. His body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. for viewing until the hour of the service.
