Bobby Lee Brewton, 62, of Hinesville peacefully passed away on May 10, 2012 in his home.

Bobby was born June 11, 1949, in Brunswick. He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hinesville. After graduating from Liberty County High School in 1967, he attended Savannah State College until he entered the U.S. Army. He honorably served as a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. Bobby married Ardrey Anderson and had two children.
Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Brewton in 2011, his brother, Henry Brewton III in 2010 and his infant sister, Lois Brewton in 1950.
Those left to cherish his memory include his best friend, Ardrey Brewton of Hinesville; son, Derrick Brewton (D'Shaunta); and granddaughter, Leah Brewton of Atlanta; daughter, Jadonna Brewton of San Pedro, Calif.; father, Henry Brewton Jr. of Hinesville; four sisters, Mattie Marshall (Thomas) of Clinton, Md., Margaret Sneed (Lee) and Lillis Epps (Robert), both of Fort Washington, Md., and Della Brewton of Hinesville; and a wonderful host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. His funeral service will be at noon Friday, May 18, in the chapel of Dorchester Funeral Home, 7842 E. Oglethorpe Hwy.
