Bobby "Big Boy" Jones, 87, of Walthourville, departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.

He was born in Riceboro to Mobley and Nancy Banks Jones. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Sam Jones of Glennville; and one sister, Estella Clark of Riceboro.
Survivors include a loving and devoted companion, Celia Davis of Walthourville; two daughters, Catherine Dunham of Rochester, N.Y., and Melissa (Milton) Harmon of Jacksonville; one son, Donald (Juanita) Roberts Sr. of Richmond Hill; four brothers, Randolph (Geneva) Jones Sr., Jimmy T. (Victoria) Jones Sr., Charlie (Mattie) Jones Sr. and John (Celia) Jones Sr., all of Riceboro; two sisters, Tena (Jimmy) Morris of Riceboro and Nevie Holmes of Allenhurst; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at First African Missionary Baptist Church at the Crossroads in Riceboro.
Interment will be in First African Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Riceboro.
