Christopher "Frank" Edward Franklin, 53, of Midway, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013.

Mr. Franklin was born Aug. 13, 1960, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Douglas and Ethel Franklin. He had lived in Liberty County since 1996, having moved here from California. Mr. Franklin was a veteran of the United States Army, having retired after serving more than 20 years. He was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Franklin was an avid outdoorsman and loved riding his Harleys, Vivian and Sarge. He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Stefanie Franklin of Midway; sons, Dominic Franklin, Gabriel Franklin and Nickolas Franklin, all of Midway; daughter, Michelle Franklin of Connecticut; five brothers, one sister, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home, 1822 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Flemington with a prayer service at 7.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Delzeith officiating. Full military honors will be rendered.
Pallbearers will be Andre Oleas, Joey Desrosiers, Joshua Walker, Brian Martin, Gabriel Franklin and Nickolas Franklin.
