Dustin Joel Brown, 29, of Hinesville, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Memorial Health University in Savannah.
Dustin was born Feb. 25, 1983, in Bayreuth, Germany. He had lived in Liberty County most of his life. Dustin attended Bradwell Institute. He loved to fish, watch cartoons, listen to music and to be with friends.
Dustin's sister Danielle described Dustin in the following paragraph, "Dustin didn't have the best reputation, but the people who knew him knew the kindness and love and compassion he had in his heart. One thing is for sure, we will miss him every single day for the rest of our lives."
Survivors include his fiancèe Clarissa Mellott of Hinesville; sons, Brayden Mellott and Malachi Brown, both of Hinesville; mother Debora Brown of Hinesville; father Dale (Karen) Brown of Greenville, Mich; sister Danielle Brown of Hinesville; grandmothers, Dorothy Flowers of Orlando, Fla., and Jeanette Brown of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; four uncles; four aunts; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home in Flemington.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, p.m. at the Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Daus officiating.
