Jared Nelson Handley, 30, of Hinesville died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.
Jared was born Jan. 28, 1983, on Fort Stewart to Nancy Handley Seaton and the late John Edwin Handley, who died July 17, 1990. Jared was a graduate of Bradwell Institute, Class of 2001. After high school, he attended some college classes before going to work for the United Parcel Service as a truck driver.
He was an avid bowler, and during his high school years a member of the AAU Traveling Basketball Team. Jared was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his animals, dog Isabelle and cat Buster.
Jared attended Live Oak Church of God.
He will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Survivors are his mother, Nancy Handley Seaton of Hinesville; sister, Kersten Vaughn of Hinesville; brother, Paul Handley of Hinesville; niece, Kaylee Vaughn; nephew, Evan Vaughn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Thomas L. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Flemington with Pastor Isreal Aaron Cowart officiating.
