Mother Lessie M. Perry, 82, of Ludowici, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013, following a lengthy illness.

She was born to the late Annie Daniels on July 24, 1930, in Hinesville. Mother Perry was a member of St. Johns Church of Christ where she served as the church mother. She was also a homemaker and was a former employee at Walker High School in Ludowici.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie; husband, Willie Fred Perry Sr.; and two sons, Carl Hamilton and Willie Fred Perry Jr.
Survivors include five daughters, Gloria Ann (Eugene) Little, Melissa (David) Hagen, all of Ludowici, Lena (Melvin) Kelly, Sheila Perry and Wanda (Ervin) Jackson, all of Hinesville; one son, Clayton Perry of Ludowici; four sisters, Leila Kelly of Walthourville, Shirley Allen of Columbus, Agnes Foster of Riverdale and Marie Hall of Jesup; three brothers: Willie Fred (Alma) Hall of Toledo, Ohio, the Rev. Bobby J. Hall of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Charlie Hall of Statesboro; and a host of grand-, great-grand, great-great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Johns Church of Christ in Ludowici.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church on Lincoln Street in Ludowici.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Royal Funeral Home in Jesup.
