Mr. Kelvin Miller, 48, of Lutz, Fla., departed this life on Friday, March 4, 2011, at Livingston Oaks in Lutz.

He was born in Savannah to loving parents, Dorothy Mae Stewart Miller and the late James Miller. He grew up in Fleming and graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1981. Kelvin served his country honorable in the United States Navy from 1982 until 1986. He was employed with McKenzie Tanks Lines Trucking Company as a wash rack supervisor. He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Riceboro.
Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Michelle Stewart Miller; his mother, Dorothy Miller of Fleming; five brothers, David (Renee) Miller of Riceboro, Keith (Jacqui) Miller of Atlanta,, Timothy (Stephanie) Miller of Charlotte, N.C., Alfonso Miller and Reuben Miller of Fleming, GA; six sisters, Saundra Stewart and Leslie (Roger) Miller Holder of Fleming, Carmen Miller of Richmond Hill, Regina (James) Bryant of Stockbridge, Linda (Michael) Walthour of Riceboro and Pamela (Zareyton) Bennett of Fleming; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Stewart of Riceboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His wake will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 9235 E. B. Cooper Hwy., Riceboro. Interment with military honors will be in Midway First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
