Georgia "Mae" Martin Howard, 74, of Hinesville, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness.

The Waycross native had lived in Liberty County the past 42 years and was a member of the South Newport Baptist Church in McIntosh County. She was a special needs provider with Gateway Program and was predeceased by her parents, James Perry and Avie Milton Martin, and was the last of 17 siblings.
Survivors are her husband of 55 years: Thomas "Hardy" Howard Sr. of Hinesville; a daughter: Mary Summerall of Hinesville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Hardy (Sandra) Howard Jr. of Middleburg, Fla., Tracy (Lindsey) Howard of Ludowici, Kenneth Shawn Howard of Valdosta; seven grandchildren, Tomy Howard III, Heather Boulineau, Misty Kicklighter, Dylan Howard, Lisa Howard, Jagger Howard and Kindle Grace Howard; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Owen, and Tyler Kicklighter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Rinehart and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Eric Grissino officiating. Interment will be in the Akin Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Tomy Howard, Dylan Howard, Hagen Goode, Reid Goode, Jagger Howard, and Lisa Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Hinesville and close friends.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home in Jesup.
