Deacon Charles L. Clark, 80, departed this life on Oct. 15, 2012, at his residence in Midway.

He was born in Fitzgerald to Zachary and Roxie Clark. He had lived in Liberty County since the l950s. He retired from employment with the Interstate Paper Corp. in Riceboro. Deacon Clark enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, driving his tractor and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Evangelist Mary C. Clark of Midway; sons, Charles Clark Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y., Johnny Alvin of Hinesville, Bobby Alvin of Midway, Donald Clark of Meridianville, Ala., and Ronnie Clark of Riceboro; stepsons, Earl and Gary Hubbard of Midway; daughters, Nancy Levine of Upper Marlboro, Md., Deloris Richmond of McClain, N.C., Donna Alston of Greensboro, N.C., and Charlene Penny of Riceboro; stepdaughters, Diane Hall and Bobbie Cannon of Savannah, Sheila Miles of Midway, Sandra Brown of Ludowici and Nannette Stevens of Midway; sisters, Beulah Williams and Pauline Lewis, both of Ft Lauderdale, Fla.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Dorchester Funeral Home, 7842 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Midway.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the Frank V. Givens Memorial Chapel of Dorchester Funeral Home. Burial will be in First Zion Church Cemetery.
