Patricia "Pat" Parker Zoucks, 59, of Townsend, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Golden Isles Hospice after a long illness

She is a native of Long County and a graduate of the Class of 1970 LCHS. She retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Stewart after 27 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Darien, the Bertha Martin Circle of FUMC in Hinesville, the Jack Waller Sunday School Class, the Hinesville Card Group and the Nuddy Buddies.
Survivors are her husband, Johnny Zoucks of Townsend; son, John Patrick (Jessica) Zoucks of Riceboro; two daughters, Jenny (Phil) Futch of Long County and Morgan (Brian) Stokes of Hinesville; parents Robert and Hazel Parker of Ludowici; sister Debbie (Randy) Wilson of Ludowici; three brothers, Bobby Parker, Dale (Wanda) Parker and Donald Parker, all of Ludowici; her caretaker, Keta Clark of Brunswick; and seven grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Forest Resource Office, Bertha Martin Circle, Hinesville Card Group, the Nuddy Buddies, Dr. Glenn Carter and staff, Martha Golden, Sam (Fontaine) Souther, Keta Clark, Mary Lou Forsyth, Reggie Jackson, Pam Grace, Elaine Johnson, Patty Kempton, First Presbyterian Church of Darien Women's Prayer Group, New Ground Hunting Club members and spouses, and the staff of the Golden Isles Hospice.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Golden, Bill Wege, Mike Carreker, Walt Parker, Robert Parker, Layton Fraser, Gary Goff and Jack Shuman.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at First United Methodist Church of Hinesville with Pastor Danny Grace officiating. Burial will follow in Hinesville Cemetery.
