RICHMOND HILL - Mary Mullen Guiendon, 62, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mary was born in Rochester, Pa., and has lived in Richmond Hill for the past nine years. Before that, she lived in Warner Robins. She was serving her second year as principle at Button Gwinnett Elementary School in Hinesville and previously had worked at Joseph Martin Elementary School in Hinesville and Shirley Hills Elementary School in Warner Robins. Mary earned her master's in education from Georgia College in Milledgeville and her bachelor's from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Guiendon of Richmond Hill; daughter, Meghan (Chris) Driggers of Norcross; son, Bobby (Heather) Guiendon of Bradenton, Fla.; brother, Regis (Beth) Mullen of Coraopolis, Pa.; grandchildren, Jonathan Driggers, Lilly Guiendon and Elle Guiendon; and nephews, Jesse Mullen and Rege Mullen.
The memorial service is at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home with Father Joseph Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like book donations to Button Gwinnett Elementary School, Joseph Martin Elementary School or your local school.
