Kenneth Ray Brown Sr., 49, of Hinesville, departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.
He was born Aug. 22, 1964, in Washington County. He was the beloved oldest son of the late Mr. I.L. Brown and Mrs. Annie H. Brown.
Kenneth graduated in 1983 from Groves High School in Savannah. After he graduated, he attended Savannah State University. On Feb. 14, 1984, he married the love of his life Marcia Brown.
He relocated to Hinesville in 1996 and accepted Christ at Mt. Zion Outreach Ministries. Kenneth and Marcia were ordained as deacon and deaconess on Dec. 28, 2003.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mr. Kenneth Raymon Brown Jr., his father, Mr. I.L. Brown, his granddaughter, Miss Olivionne Brown, his sister, Shirley Reynolds and his grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Brown Dunn.
Deacon Brown leaves to cherish his loving memory to his devoted wife of 30 years, Marcia Brown; six inseparable daughters, Calrene Brown, Danielle Brown, Tabitha (Robert) Clark, Kenyatta (Tommie) Smith, Ta'Lisha Brown and Angelica (Antuan) Williams; his loving mother, Annie Brown; a son, Kenneth Brown Jr.; his brothers, Carl (Sharon) Brown and Vincent Brown; his sister Helen (Lester) Watts; 10 handsome grandsons; seven adorable granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
His wake will be from 5-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Dorchester Funeral Home, 7842 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Midway.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, 1272 Kelly Drive in Hinesville. Chief Apostle Bobbie Jean Adkins will officiate. Interment will be in Anderson Cemetery.
