PICHER, Cpl. Eddy (Ret)
With immense sorrow we inform you that Eddy passed away in Victoria, BC
March 18th, 2016. He was predeceased by: wife Alice Kinakin, brothers Harvey and
Leonard Piche, and parents Rose and Mose Piche. He is survived by his children
Lenny and Rosalee Gray Enoch, AB; his siblings Helen Conrad, Harmattan, AB,
Maryanne Piche, Victoria, BC, Celena Piche, Calgary, AB, Richard Piche, Cochrane
AB, Will Pechie, Victoria, BC.
Born December 20th, 1936 in Goodridge, Alberta he considered the Sundre and
Calgary areas home. He spent recent winters in Victoria and Thousand Palms, CA
working on his golf.
As a young man he worked with his father logging in the Spray Valley near Canmore, AB.
In 1960, he joined the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry and served as a
rifleman in Germany and a jumpmaster at CFB Calgary. After the military Eddy
worked a short time in the oil industry before he joined the City of Calgary Roads
Department, a career from which he retired in 2001.
He was much loved and will be missed by his sibling's families, his Dumont cousins,
his many friends and acquaintances, his PPCLI brothers, and the
Métis Nation of Alberta.
A Mass will be held on May 21 at St. Mary's Parish Cochrane, Alberta at 1:30 P.M.
