DYCK, Florence Agnes
January 8, 1926 – Altona, Manitoba
January 23, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
Florence, beloved wife of John Raymond Dyck of
Cochrane, AB, passed away on January 23, 2016
at the age of 90 years.
Florence grew up in Gretna, MB and was trained
as a Registered Nurse in St. Boniface Hospital.
After marrying John, they served in hospitals in
Canada, Africa, the United States, and Asia. Most
recently a resident of Cochrane, she enjoyed hiking,
crocheting, and singing in choirs. An adventurous spirit, she was
also a devoted sibling, wife, mother and grandmother, a regular and
committed member of her church and volunteer communities, and a
loyal friend. She enjoyed being outside and was a regular fixture on
her morning walks next to the Bow. Florence was faithful, caring and
enthusiastic.
Florence is survived by her husband John Dyck; her children Donna
Irene Ruparell, wife of Tinu Ruparell, of Calgary, Peter Jonathan Dyck,
husband of Susan Dyck, of Vancouver, and her grandchildren Kiran,
Sacha, and Anya Ruparell all of Calgary.
Florence was predeceased by her siblings Edwin Buhr, Hilda Friesen,
John Buhr, Elmer Buhr, Esther Buhr, Leonard Buhr and extended
family Harold and Kathleen Dyck, Edmund and Dorothy Dyck, Victor
Dyck and David Dyck.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS &
HOLLOWAY Chapel (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB

2:00 p.m.
Memorial Services will be held at Highland Mennonite Brethren
Church (4018 Centre B St., Calgary) on Saturday, January 30,
2016 at 2:30 pm. Condolences may be forwarded through
