May 30, 1947 – July 26, 2016
Maureen Katherine Pletsch (Oram) passed away in Golden BC
on July 26th with her family by her side.
Maureen is survived by her husband Don of 42 years, son Scott (Brandi)
and daughter Kristie (Craig), grandchildren Jordan, Bauer and Brooklyn and her brother Rob and
his family. She was predeceased by her mother Pearl and father Gordon in 2007.
Maureen was born in North Vancouver, and lived and worked in both BC and Alberta.
She called Redwood Meadows home for the last 26 years.Maureen was a dedicated special needs
teacher and touched many lives both in and out of the classroom.Maureen had a strong love of
her family and cherished time spent with them especially at the cabin. Amazing only begins to
describe her as a mother. She was selfless, always putting her children first and never missing a
game or competition. She always helped with homework and projects and made amazing birthday
cakes and Halloween costumes.Maureen made sure there were always warm muffins fresh out of
the oven, as she never stopped being a Mom!
Maureen fought a courageous battle with ALS and her family would like to thank all of the
individuals that cared for her and supported her family. In lieu of flowers
please make a donation on Maureen's behalf to the ALS Society of Alberta.
A celebration of life will be held September 18th @ 2pm
at the Redwood Meadows Community Hall,
1Manyhorses Drive Redwood Meadows.
