JARBEAU, Shirley Loretta (nee Bayne)
It is with great sadness that Shirley's family announces her recent
passing while her beloved husband and she were snowbirding in
Queen Creek, AZ.
Shirley was born on November 22, 1939 and peacefully left us on
January 22, 2018. She was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK as the
youngest of four children. She met and married Frank in August 1960.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Frank, 3 children, Michelle Satchwell (Harry),
Michael Jarbeau (Sylvie), and Lisa Switzer (Arno), and 6 grandchildren, Brandon (Dani),
Allison (Spencer), Ryan, Tyler, Sarah and Audrey. Shirley will be lovingly and affectionately
remembered by all the extended family and close friends that she leaves behind.
Shirley was known lovingly amongst her family and friends as being an avid volunteer. She
enjoyed her bingo, her weekly cribbage evenings at the Legion and in recent years loved
her retirement winters in Arizona, where they lived on a golf course and she avidly worked
on jigsaw puzzles, while enjoying the sunshine on the patio watching for Frank to play by.
At Shirley's request and her family's choice to honor her wishes, there will be no memorial
service, however a celebration of her life by her family will be held at a later date.
Donations in her name can be made to the Dulcina Hospice at St. Margarite Manor in
Calgary, AB or to the charity of your choice.
