WOOLVERTON, Zachary
Sunrise April 25, 1991 –
Sunset October 7, 2016
It is with the heaviest of broken hearts that we
have to announce the loss of our beautiful,
rare and precious man, Zachary. He was
born in the city, raised in the country and
was able to experience so much in his
25 years.Heswamwith whale sharks in Baja,
sea lions and penguins in the Galapagos,
saw the sunset over Stonehenge, climbed
mountains, kayaked rivers, snorkelled in
the calm waters of Bonaire and sailed on the
Tall Ship Picton Castle along Canada's Eastern
Coast. He spent a month touring the back roads
of Cuba, saw London, Amsterdam, Paris, Venice, Rome, Pompeii
and loved every small village and moment in between. He carried
with him the joy and openness to diversity that traveling offered.
Zach graduated from Cremona High School and went on to work
in commercial construction before obtaining his Heavy Equipment
Operators license in Innisfail. He was absolutely passionate about his
country and equal to that was his love of hockey and there was no
Calgary Flames fan more faithful, dedicated and hopeful than Zach. He
had a profoundly deep and respectful connection to nature, animals
and all living beings. He was a musician, an artist, a contemplator,
a lover of ancient Egypt, Karaoke, great movies, salad rolls, singing
in the shower and he played his music as loud as he pleased. More
importantly than anything he saw or did or achieved, is the fact that he
was so loved and that he loved and gave of himself unconditionally.
He was a brilliant burst of joy and compassion, a humble, strong,
gentle, brave, funny, genuine, and gracious young man. Wise beyond
his years with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he was an old soul
who taught us so much about what it means to be human. Knowing
Zach was a miracle and we will miss everything about him. Zach's
family wish to express their gratitude to everyone that walked with
and supported him on his journey. Rest in peace beautiful soul.
