Jean M. Moeschler
1920 - 2013
Jean M. Moeschler was born February 27, 1920. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Emerly (Jack) and Mae Ely Braun. She passed away in Auburn with her family at her side, at the age of 93.
Jean grew up in Los Angeles and Lancaster, California. She married in 1938, and was a loving mother to Gary Hubbard, born in Los Angeles in 1940. Jean remarried in 1948 to Loren (Lem) Moeschler. In 1950 they moved to Compton, Calif., then to Lakewood, Calif., in 1955. Jean worked various jobs as a Bookkeeper for Smith Oil Tools and Weatherby Sporting Good Store. After moving to Lakewood, she and her husband opened a TV and Radio Repair Store in Garden Grove, Calif. Jean retired from Weatherby's and worked at the TV and Radio Repair Store until they moved to Auburn, Calif., where they built their house in 1979.
Jean and Loren both were pilots and flew their airplanes all around the states. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband in 1995. She is survived by her son Gary, daughter-in-law Nadine, grandchildren Dionne, Raquel, Josh and Ericka, and nine great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Auburn Elks Lodge, 195 Pine St., Auburn, Calif., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice Association of your choice. Please sign the online guestbook at www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com
