Eugene A. Bell

Eugene Allen Bell was born in Ann Arbor Michigan to Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Bell Sr. on May 31, 1927. He passed away on October 17, 2012 in Carson City Nevada. Gene lived in Auburn growing up and was a graduate of Placer High School in 1945.
He began his career in printing at the Auburn Journal as a teenager; following graduation he attended Cal Poly University. During World War II, before he could graduate, Gene enlisted in the Navy where he served with the Special Intelligence Division. Upon leaving the Navy, he served in the Merchant Marines. When his enlistment was over, he worked for the Lafayette News Paper. From there, Gene moved to Carson City Nevada where he started his own printing business.
Gene married Joyce Wilson in 1958, they continued to live in Carson City and raise a family, a son, Scott, and a daughter, Sally. Gene was one of seven children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J Bell Sr. He is preceded in death by: his parents Robert and Maxine Bell, sister Gloria Gibson (Kenneth), two brothers, Robert J. Bell Jr. (Claire), and Jack Bell.
Gene is survived by: his wife Joyce of 54 years, his son Scott of Reno, and daughter, Sally of Belleview Washington, brother Richard (Gerry) of Colfax, sisters Dorothy Choate (Sam) of Sacramento, and Betty Benham (George) of Meadow Vista, and many nieces and nephews.
Gene will be greatly missed by his family. At his request, no services will be held.
