Glenn L. Nicholas
1920 - 2014

Glenn Louise Nicholas was born on February 7, 1920 to Raymond and Jessie Free in Pacific Grove, Calif., the first of five siblings. She passed away at home March 14, 2014 at the age of 94 surrounded by family and friends. Glenn married Tony Nicholas on August 3, 1941 in Reno, Nev., and lived all her married life on the family ranch in Newcastle, Calif.
She was preceded in death by husband Tony (1965) and daughter Jane Spencer (2011), and is survived by: children Paul, Antoinette (Noni) Sharp, John, Patricia Denniston and James as well as many grand, great-grand and great- great grandchildren.
Glenn spent most of her growing up years in Placer County working on local ranches with her brothers. After having her own family, she enjoyed watching them play local sports and was an avid fan of professional baseball, basketball and football (everyone knew not to call her when the World Series was on).
She was a dedicated member of the local Jehovah Witnesses and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank Auburn Faith Hospice for its professional and loving care. Memorial service will be held at the Auburn Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 13797 Bowman Road, Auburn, CA at 3:00 p.m. followed by graveside services at the Newcastle Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday March 29, 2014.
