Julienne Elaine Patton, 70, of Rancho Cordova, Calif., passed on July 5, 2013 in Orangevale, Calif., of natural causes.
She was born January 12, 1943 to Julian (Pat) and Ramona Patton in Auburn, Calif. She was predeceased by both parents.
Julienne had a full and interesting life. She was a graduate of La Sierra High School, Carmichael, Calif., and earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of San Francisco in Human Relations and Organizational Behavior. One of her proudest accomplishments was being among the early groups of females sworn in as Deputies with the Placer County Sheriff's office in the early 70s. She eventually left law enforcement to pursue a successful career in collegiate admissions and articulation, including positions with Sierra College, Santa Rosa Junior College, Sacramento State University, Fresno State University, and the California Articulation Number System. She was an avid supporter of Christian missions throughout the world. After retirement she focused on her passions: travel and spending time with her grandchildren.
Julienne is survived by her three children: Lee Anne, Carole, and Ed. She was blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, and was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Public visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 Chapel of the Valley, 97 Vernon Street, Roseville, CA 95678. Public Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 Celebration Church, 5736 North Ave., Carmichael, CA 95608, officiated by Rev Michael Fraga. The interment will be conducted during a private family ceremony on July 11, 2013.
