Mary Magee

Passed away at her home on March 10, 2014 surrounded by loving family and friends. Born in Denver, Colorado, she lived in Alamosa, Colo. with her parents Robert and Frances Magee, and her brother Rob, before moving to Sacramento.
Mary attended college in Colorado and Oakland before receiving her RN from Samuel Merritt Nursing School. Then she completed her BSN at Sacramento State University. She spent the majority of her nursing career working at Sutter Memorial Hospital, taking brief intervals to work in Arkansas and to live in Spain.
Her many interests included Golfing, volunteering with Special Olympics, Boating, Riding Horses, and Travel. Mary was also a loyal member of the PEO sisterhood. Later in life she was involved in showing Llamas and doing activities with her active Boston Terrier, Murphy. Mary was very social and enjoyed many activities with her friends, wine-tasting, movies, plays, dinners out, and doggie play dates!
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, as well as her loving partner Dot Muller. She is survived by her sister-in-law Sherry Magee of Carmichael, and nephew Kenny Muller, his wife Lisa, and their two children, Alexandria and Olivia, of Davis, Cali. and several cousins. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of her amazing life will be held at the Folsom Rotary Club on April 5, 2014 at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, Special Olympics, or the . Please sign the guestbook at
