Mike passed away July 12, 2012 in Stockton at the age of 67.
Predeceased by his father Michael A. Lescisin Sr. and mother Veryl M. Lescisin. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara Lescisin of Morada; sisters, Lyn Barmeyer (Tom) of Auburn and Christy Smittle (Jack) of Utah; sons, Michael Mardon (Terry) of Stockton, Sydney "Mac" Mardon (Char) of Tracy; daughters, Jeanne McCleave (Bruce) of Lake Forest, Calif., Cynthia Sharp (Lee) of Stockton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Michael was born in Seattle, Washington, and relocated to Auburn Calif., as a teenager, graduating from Placer High School, class of 1963. While in high school he excelled in academics and basketball. After earning his BS degree in Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo he has lived the past 40 years in Stockton where he worked for 34 years as the Director of Shipping, Warehousing, and Environmental Affairs at Diamond Foods. A fellow Director noted that 'I remember Mike attending the 10am meetings during the season and proudly giving his report on what happened at the cleaning plant, bulk blender, and shipping dept. The huge number of shipments and pounds produced was simply amazing. Mike had a way of keeping it all straight and being able to give information routinely. His sharp wit was always something to watch out for. Mike always seemed poised for the next event no matter how small or large'.
He enjoyed traveling, boating, skiing, golf, fly-fishing, and his cocktails.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mike's home on August 25, 2012. For further information contact Barb. Memorial contributions in Mike's name can be made to San Joaquin Hospice 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton 95204. Please sign the online guestbook at www.cherokeememorial.com
