Nadine Riley

Nadine was born and raised in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She graduated from Cumberland Junior College in Williamsburg, and Nazareth College in Louisville, Kentucky. As defined by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Nadine was a licensed Medical Technologist, in which she took great pride and joy.
While working in the hospital, Nadine met a striking young man, a World War II Army soldier by the name of Claude T. Riley. They began to date, became engaged and on June 1, 1945 their "Hellos" became their "I Dos" as they vowed to love one another. On April 25, 1949, Nadine and Claude welcomed their only son Michael Steven Riley.
They moved from Kentucky to Sacramento, California in 1950, where she and Claude owned several businesses. In 1979, they both retired and settled in Roseville. Claude passed away in 1984 and her only son Michael in 1989.
Nadine leaves behind to cherish her legacy and fond memories: grandchildren John Riley of Loomis and Colleen Nettleton of Placerville, and their spouses Connie Riley and Jeff Nettleton; and her four great grandchildren, Avery, Gavin, and Kalan Riley and Austin Nettleton. She is also survived by her daughter- in-law, Betty Riley Simpson, and Betty's current husband Michael Simpson. Nadine found a wonderful circle of friends at the Hillcrest Alliance Church who she dearly loved.
A Celebration of Life for Nadine Riley will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Hillcrest Church, 911 Hillcrest Ave., Roseville, Calif. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hillcrest Church.
Interment will be at Roseville District Cemetery.
