Wayne "Robby" Robinson

Wayne "Robby" Robinson, 82, of Colfax passed away peacefully at home on January 19, 2013. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 30, 1930 to George and Ruth Robinson. Robby graduated from Ladysmith, WI High School in 1948, enlisted and served in the Army until 1952, achieving the rank of Corporal. Following extensive work in the Panama Canal Zone for both the Army and Navy, Robby embarked on a career selling satellite communications equipment worldwide for Watkins Johnson Corporation. In 1973 he moved his family to Colfax and founded Robinson Real Estate both in Colfax and in Grass Valley, serving as owner and broker of the family business for four decades. He was involved in nearly every aspect of the Colfax community, most notably Lions Club, numerous city committees, and the Chamber of Commerce.
In 1981 he married Lou Anna Goodale, with whom he just celebrated 32 adventurous years.
He is survived by wife, Lou Anna; brother, Donald Wieber of Pinole; daughter, April Robinson and husband Mike Pittman of Dobbins; sons, Bill and Tom Robinson of Smartsville and Reno; daughter, Deanna and son, Mason Goodale of Dutch Flat and Colfax; nephew, Mark Wieber of Pinole and niece, Teresa Seshadri of Colorado; grandchildren: Amber Johns, Brianna Miles, Berea and Jonathan Robinson, Eason and Levi Goodale.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Sierra Vista Center, 55 School St, Colfax.
