Bell, Helen Louise  
Helen Louise Bell, 75, of Denver, passed away 11/19/2014. Born in WY, she attended Barnes Business School and worked as a nanny, librarian, special education tutor, a secretary for Humble Oil and the Jeffco School ESL program retiring in 2004. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, as and exemplary Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader for many years. Preceded in death by her husband Lyndon Bell, Helen is survived her daughter Laura (Ruben) Rivera of Littleton; son Keith (Christie) Bell of Morrison, and 3 grandchildren. An open-house will be held 12/6/2014 12PM – 8PM at 7900 W. Layton Ave, Denver, CO 80123. Bond, Robert F.  
Robert F. Bond, 88, died in Canandaigua, NY Dec. 9. Born in Denver in 1926 the son of Fred C. Bond and Margaret Jean Lowe, Bob served in the US Navy in WWII and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1950. He spent most of his working life in Denver in advertising and sales promotion for Gates Rubber, Hamilton Management, and Financial Programs. His first wife, Mary Stewart, died in 1995. He is survived by his second wife, Margaret Heywood, his brother Bruce (Rita), his daughter Hallie Bond (Mason Smith), and grandchildren Stewart Alexander and Margaret Louise Smith. patch-panel. com/bobbond.html.

Burt, Christine E.  
Christine E. Burt, of Woodland Park, passed peacefully on Tuesday Nov. 25, 2014 surrounded by family and friends in Colorado Springs. She was predeceased by her Husband, David Burt, formerly of Sturman Industries. She leaves behind their son. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 7 at the Church in the Wildwood at 10585 Ute Pass Ave., Green Mountain Falls, at 1:00 p.m. Chris's love for the arts and animals is well known. Consider making a contribution to either TCRAS- a regional Animal Shelter or to Hausmusik, a non-profit string quartet series in Woodland Park.

Carey, Kay Weber  
Kay Weber Carey, formerly from Cripple Creek, Colorado, died at age 80, at Harlingen Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Kay was born June 13, 1934, in Highland Park, Illinois to Walter A. Weber and Grace Kiernan Weber. As a child, Kay enjoyed riding horses, painting, and appreciated wildlife. She attended the University of Miami at Ohio, and then married James Addison Carey on September 4, 1954. Kay was a supportive and loving mother and was active as a 4-H leader, Girl Scout leader, and was Past President of the Hockley County A&M Mothers Club. Kay adored and nurtured animals throughout her life and at one point even had a pet skunk. Kay shared her love of animals with her children and 4-H members. She also enjoyed painting and viewing wildlife, camping, and flyfishing with her husband. Kay and her husband Jim spent many years in Texas after being married and raised three children in the Lubbock, Texas area. In 1984, Kay and Jim moved to Cripple Creek, Colorado, where they enjoyed the friendship of many people throughout the Teller County 4-H System. Special thanks go out to the folks in Teller County that welcomed Kay and Jim with open arms. Kay often talked of the friendships she made with these folks and cherished the time spent living in that community. Kay is survived by her husband of 60 years, James A. Carey. Kay is survived by her son Randall Covington Carey, daughter Sheila Lisa Timm and her husband Mark Timm, and son, Patrick Carey and his wife Donna B. Carey. Kay was blessed with seven grandchildren, which include Heather Kay Jones and spouse Josh, Megan Carey, Sean Dustin Timm, Kyle Lee Timm and spouse Selenia, the late Travis Nolan Timm, Lindsey Elise Carey and Trevor Addison Carey; along with four adoring great grandchildren, Isabella Timm, Venicio George Timm, Kaidon Lynn Bornman, and Grace Harriet Jones. Also surviving Kay is her sister, Toni Piggott of Virginia. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister Jeane Weber and her grandson, Travis Nolan Timm. Kay will be missed by her family and friends but we rejoice that she is at peace with God and is reunited with Walt, Grace, Jeane, and Travis. Services were held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Island Baptist Church, 107 W. Mesquite, South Padre Island, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Teller County 4-H located at 112 N. A Street, Cripple Creek, Colorado 80813.

Disher, Helen  
Disher, Helen C, 85, of Englewood passed away Nov. 28. Visitation Fri. Dec. 5, 4-6 pm Drinkwine Mortuary. Funeral Sat. Dec. 6, 6:30 pm All Souls Catholic Church. Helen was born in St. Charles, MO to Joseph C. and Dorothy (Hahn) Schultehenrich, the second of eight children. Her family operated a bakery where she learned the love of baking and great German cooking. Helen married Robert Disher in 1950 in St. Charles. They moved to Denver and enjoyed 51 years of married life until Bob's death in 2001. Helen was an excellent cook and enjoyed big family gatherings, making her famous German potato salad, soup salad and desserts to compliment Bob's perfect BBQ. Helen was very involved in her children's education and coached sports at All Souls Catholic School, where her family celebrated many wonderful years of parish life. Helen was an excellent seamstress and gardener. She loved to gamble (Blackhawk and Las Vegas). She and Bob traveled extensively throughout the National Parks before Bob's passing. Her favorite vacations started in 1975 when she and Bob began their annual GTM trips eventually taking all of their children. All the children were able to surprise her in Mexico for her 80th birthday and enjoy a memorable week of fun and sun. Helen loved college basketball and followed local athletes from their high school to college careers and beyond. She was also a lifelong baseball fan enjoying many years of Cardinal's baseball and then adopting the home team Colorado Rockies. She was part of the Rockies opening day game with all of her family. Helen is survived by her 7 loving children Bart (Julie) Disher of Montrose, Peter Disher of Denver, Suzanne (Peter) Larkowski of Grand Junction, Robert (Colleen) Disher, Jr. of Castle Rock, Edward (Liz) Disher of Wentzville, MO, Jan (Tracy) Ralls of Port Townsend, WA, and Mary (Scott) McDowell of Plano, TX and 10 grandchildren Bart Disher, Jr., Patrick Disher, Amanda Larkowski, Luke Larkowski, Travis Disher, Walker Disher, Dillon Ralls, Jacob Ralls, Justin McDowell, Ashley McDowell and 2 great grandchildren Baron and Brooks Disher. Also survived by brothers August (Bud), Joseph, William and Richard Schultehenrich and sister Patricia Bain. She was preceded in death by sisters Maryann (Itsy) Lewis and Bert Rufkahr. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to All Souls Catholic School Athletic Department.

Gilbert, Robert L. "Gilly"  
Bob passed away at his home in Bullhead City, Arizona after a lengthy battle with cancer. He grew up in Colorado and graduated from Arvada High School. After serving in the Army in Germany, Bob returned to Colorado and started a hardwood floor company in Arvada.He worked in and owned construction businesses until his retirement. He loved his dogs, barbecuing, boating and cars and was involved in stock car racing in Colorado for many years. Bob is survived by his wife Dollie King of Bullhead City, Arizona; daughters Brenda Fisher and Julie (Joe) Senior, their mother Donna Gilbert, his brother Al (Kay) Gilbert, sisters Betty Wilson and Debbie (Norm) Briggs as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles (Chuck) and Betty Gilbert, and his sister Pat. He was a gentle and loving man and will be missed by his family and friends.
