Harold "Tom" Burdette, age 90, passed away at Brookdale Skyline Senior Living Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Monday, October 16, 2017. He was born on April 30, 1927 in Pike County, Indiana to Frate and Janie Burdette, who preceded him in death along with several brothers and sisters. Tom served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper during the end of World War II, and was stationed in Japan. He was a longtime resident of Littleton, Colorado. Tom moved there in the early fifties where he met and married Shirley May Harmon, who preceded him in death in 2001. He worked for the Littleton Post Office where he retired. He enjoyed the Colorado outdoors and was active as a fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed camping. Harold was a Mason and a member of the Weston Lodge #22 in Littleton. He moved to Colorado Springs three years ago to be near his daughter and granddaughter. He lived at Cheyenne Place where he made many friends before transferring to Brookdale Skyline. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Burdette) McAdam; grand-daughter, Caitlin McAdam; grandson, Tyler McAdam; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Burdette; and many nieces and nephews.No services are planned.
