Kerry Dean Brunner(1958 - 2014)

On the afternoon
of Friday,
May 23, 2014,
Kerry Dean
Brunner, 55,
passed away
when his heart
failed. Kerry was
comforted by his nearest
family and his family
minister at the time of his
Kerry was born in Beloit,
Wisconsin on December
12, 1958, as the fifth child
to Cedric and Lois Brunner.
After growing up in
small rural communities in
Northern Illinois, Kerry's
family moved to Golden,
Colorado where he attended
Golden High School. He
studied at the University
of Colorado in Boulder,
and graduated in 1980
with a Bachelor of Music
degree. He worked as a
music teacher at several
front-range middle schools
and tutored students with
private lessons.
Kerry's primary instrument
was the oboe. His
love and dedication to
music earned him the
Principle oboe position
with the Arapahoe Philharmonic
with the Jefferson
County Orchestra.
He was also
a member of
various windensemble
Kerry was
preceded in death by
his father Cedric, and is
survived by his mother,
Lois of Golden, Colorado;
three brothers Jim (Nancy)
of Mexico, Missouri; Mike
of Seattle, Washington;
Dick (Karen) of Denver,
Colorado; a sister Sherry
(Bill) of Rockford, Illinois;
six nephews and nieces;
and twelve great nephews
and nieces.
A memorial service and
musical celebration of his
life will be held Wednesday,
June 18th at 11:00
at the First Presbyterian
Church of Golden.
