Pamela (PJ) Ross (Pamela Daily)
passed away at home on Easter Sunday
after a long battle with cancer. She
will be missed by all those who were
fortunate to know her. She will always
be remembered for her infectious smile
& personality that lit up any room she
entered. PJ was married to Jeff Ross
and together they had "adventures" in
Alaska for 37 years. PJ worked in the
information technology field for various
employers including: Aleyeska Pipeline,
Computer Task Group, GCI, Carrs and
NBA. PJ also worked at BP in Texas City
and Houston Tx. Together with Jeff, PJ
was past owner at Sheep Creek Lodge
and current owner of "Floaters" in Big
Lake. She loved the outdoors and was
a proud "West-Ender of Big Lake" who
lived remote without road, for nearly 20
years and commuted home daily by ice
road, boat, hover-craft, snowmachine or
foot. She always put her finger in every
pile of bear scat she encountered on
the trail to check for "freshness." She is
survived by Jeff Ross, her parents Jim
& Juanita Daily, her brother Alan Daily
(of Castle Rock). She is preceded in her
death by her sister Rhonda Cirrillo. PJ
requested her ashes be spread in the
Talkeetna's behind Sheep Creek Lodge
& the continental divide in Colorado.
There will be a memorial @ the Big Lake
Lions Club on Sunday, May 20th at 2pm.
