The Guest Book is expired.

Scott was born on March
30, 1959, in Northfield,
Minnesota. He passed
away unexpectedly on
August 18, 2014.
His lifelong love of Colorado
and the Rocky Mountains
began at age 7 when
he moved with his family
to Golden, Colorado. As a
youngster, he particularly
enjoyed long hikes with
family in the Tetons and
on warm, summer days in
the Rockies.
He discovered a talent for
watercolor while attending
Golden High School. As
an adult, he liked to attend
new exhibits at the Denver
Art Museum. His favorite
artists were Andy Warhol
and Jackson Pollock. He
was an avid reader who
sometimes read 2 books
in a day. He also had an
ongoing passion for musical
groups like Roxy Music
and Blondie.
Scott is remembered
for his warm heart and
exceptional generosity.
Gifts from him were
often unique. If anyone
mentioned a fondness
for a particular book or
candy, Scott would quickly
purchase the item and
give it well in advance of a
birthday or holiday.
Scott was preceded in
death by his father, Dr.
William D. Copeland. He
is survived by his mother,
Carolyn Copeland; his
stepfather, Ron Hamagami;
his brother, Andy
(Hilary) Copeland; his
sister, Heidi (Jim) Cooley;
his nieces Heather (Chris)
Tucker and Andrea (Shanon)
Tool; his nephews
James Cooley and Will
Copeland; and his greatnephew
Jack Tucker.
A Celebration of Life will
be held for Scott in Golden
this fall.
