King, William R.  
Bill King of Erie, Colo, died peacefully next to family at TruCare Hospice Center in Louisville. He was a kind soul, devoted to his family and friends. He showed us all grace, love and humor throughout his life, even during his last days. He'd been a faithful member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Boulder. He is survived by his wife, Gayle King, daughter Angela (Bob) Tunison of Spring Hill, Ks; stepsons Karl (Laura) Hartronft of Plano, Tx and Erik (Virginia) Hartronft of Louisville, Co; stepdaughters Juli King of Lafayette, Co, Elsa King of Erie, Co, Greta (Mark) Gregory of Issaquah, Wa, and Liz (Todd) Butler of Rogers, Ark; and 2 of 13 siblings, Lillian Jones of Old Forge, Pa and Don (June) King of Fleming Island, Fla. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by two children, daughter Rebecca and son Vincent; his parents, Emily and Vincent King; seven brothers, Clay, Dave, Abe, Vint, Chuck, Alan and Robert King, and four sisters, Frances Marshall, Belle Powers, Leah Valko and Liz Sprague. A graveside service will be held in Barnard, Ks on June 17 and a remembrance celebration will be held in Erie at the family home on Sun, June 19. Times to be announced later. Details will be available by writing to or by contacting a family member. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TruCare Hospice Center now in Boulder.
