Obituary Condolences

Leonard B. Kilker, 67, died unexpectedly October 30, 2013, at his home in Broomfield. He was born on August 16, 1946 in Denver. Lenny graduated from Lafayette High School in 1964, attended Western State College, Colorado State University, and graduated from Barnes Business School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967 and was honorably discharged from service in 1970. Leonard married Victoria Garnier on March 16, 1973. They lived in their Broomfield home for 38 years until Vicki's death on September 8, 2011. Those of us closest to Lenny truly believe he died from a broken heart. He worked for Public Service before starting his own business: Kilker Design and Construction in 1983 and later Kilker Interior & Supply in 1985. As a general contractor, he remodeled basements, kitchens, bathrooms, and built decks, patios, and room additions. He provided general maintenance on many homes in Louisville, Lafayette, Broomfield, and surrounding areas. Lenny was a charter member of BPOE Tri City Elks Lodge #2541 in Louisville. Lenny was preceded in death by his wife Vicki, parents Howard and Pauline Kilker, and niece Teri Holden. He is survived by his sister Kay Uran (Chuck) of Broomfield, twin brother Dean Kilker (Cathy) of Louisville, nephew Lynn Holden (Paula) of Washington State and niece Kris Sosa (Adam) of Florida. Graveside services will be held at the Louisville Cemetery on Empire Road at 11:00am Friday, November 15, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a .
