John and I each bought basses together from the 5th String about 30 years ago. He wanted to learn slap bass many years ago. Hope he got it down & using it now, making the angels smile. John was a purebred bass player. I know now that John was "instruemtal" in me & this bass finding each other last week. Its a fixer-upper Kay. Thank you, John. I love you, Pat

John was a friend and mentor to me and taught me nearly everything I know about tax law (his knowledge was encyclopedic). He was as kind and generous a man as you will ever meet. Godspeed, John Duncan!
