Henry "Howard" Quint passed away on February 28, 2013 at the age of 77. He was a loving husband to his devoted wife of 32 years, Katie Quint. He was a special dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, neighbor, and friend.
Howard was born and raised in Willows. He graduated from Willows High School, served proudly in the United States Army, worked at Zumwalts for many years and retired from Peterson Tractor Company.
He loved to fish, hunt, trap shoot, and target shoot. Each season after he retired you could find him by the banks of the Sacramento River fishing for salmon and if not there, at the Willows Rifle Club or one of the trap ranges near town, out of state, or in Vandalia! He loved nothing better than enjoying his favorite past times with his family and friends and traveling the US with his wife Katie to visit his kids and grandkids. Anyone who knew Howard thought he was a kind and good man with a big heart. He will be missed so much by us all.
Howard is survived by his wife Katie; his children: Henry (& Nadia), Tami (& Rocky), Cindi (& Jeff), Sherri , Kathy (& Jim), Jan, Robin (& Trevor); Grandchildren: Jesse, Nastasija, Valerie, Ryan, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Matt, Taylor, Veronica, Angie, Kathy, Michelle, Sharon, Johnny, and Jason; and his 11 great-grandchildren including his newest great grandson Dax 'Henry' Desarro who was born the day before grandpa passed away; and his brother Buzz and sister Dell.
Howard will be laid to rest at the Willows Cemetery on March 11th. It was his wish not to have funeral services.
