Gus Brown, a career Air Force pilot, took his final flight from earth on April 30, 2013 to his next experience in God's house of life. He was born in Colusa, Calif. and lived there until he entered the Air Force in July, 1954. He served during the Vietnam and Korean era as a jet and cargo pilot. His colorful career included being requested by Generals as their pilot, training jet pilots and serving for 4 years in Japan. In August, 1974, he received a medical discharge and retired as Lt. Col.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hazel and Charlie Brown and brother, Barney Brown, all of Colusa. His surviving family include Jacklyn Brown of Eagle, Idaho; Robert Kelly Brown of Chico, Calif.; Kirk Baxter Brown of Susanville; Charles Keith Brown of Reno, Nev.; stepsons, Paul Buboltz, Medina Wash. and Scott Buboltz, Camas, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Boggs, Davis, Calif.
Alden-Waggoner is handling funeral arrangements. A graveside service is pending for a later date.
