Michael Edway Roeth was born April 21, 1948 and passed away March 28, 2014 at the age of 65.

Mike was born in Willows, Calif. to Georgie McKeever and Vernon Thurman and was adopted at the age of two by George Roeth III when George and Mike's mother Georgie married.

Mike grew up in Fruto, west of Willows, on a large cattle ranch where he cherished his peaceful and beautiful surroundings and memories of hunting and fishing with his family and dog, Sam. After graduating high school in Elk Creek where he was active in sports and FFA, he joined the army and served in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Mike enjoyed 43 years of marriage to wife, Vicki, with whom he joyfully raised three children, Georgia Cruz, Michael Roeth, and Jessica Tapia. He was appreciated for his wit, humor, and patience, always taking advantage of teachable moments with his children and grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Gampy", he loved watching the 49ers, Giants and Sacramento Kings and always sent a "spark" out to his kids after a victory. He was an accomplished artist, enjoyed woodworking, and spending time at his cabin in Lake Almanor.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his son-in-laws, Miguel Cruz and Tony Tapia; daughter-in-law, Laura Niehues Roeth; and the lights of his life, grandchildren, Alexus Tapia, Dominic Tapia, Dylen Tapia, and Aria Roeth.
