Elsie Morea (Chickering) Frakes, 90 of Fort Lupton, went to be with our Lord Savior July 15. She was born May 7, 1927. in Long Beach, Calif., to William Ernest and Alice Morea (Johnson) Chickering. She was married to Lawrence K. Frakes Sr.
Elsie loved to sing and was a very talented musician. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Methodist Church of Pierce. She loved to draw and had copywrited her cartoon "Elsie."
Survivors include her children, Betty Fortunato, Bonnie (Russ) Strole, Nelson Frakes, Lottie Hoyer and Lelia Frakes; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Her husband; son, Lawrence K. Frakes, Jr.; three son in-laws; and one grandson, Nelson Frakes, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, at the Allnutt Macy Chapel, 702 13th St., Greeley, which handled the arrangements. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
