Megan M. Schissler, 44, passed away July 8. She was born, Sept. 2, 1973, to Martha and William McCaslin, in Wheat Ridge.
Megan graduated from Broomfield High School with the class of 1991, receiving her bachelor's degree from CSU in history in 1995. Adams County District 12 recently hired her as a budget analyst.
Megan worked for Sun Microsystems, CGI, Transwest and Unavco.
She was an avid bowler, bowling in numerous leagues and owning numerous singles titles while in college. Megan was the "Star of Tomorrow" while in high school for bowling.
Megan was well-loved by family and friends. She loved to fish and hang out on the boat and always had a hug for everybody. She was fond of music and loved Motley Crue.
Her brother, Timothy McCaslin, preceded her in death. Survivors are her parents; her husband, Ricky Schissler, of Brighton; a son, Ricky Schissler Jr. of Arvada; a daughter, Brooke Schissler, of Philadelphia; a sister, Tammy (Jim) Wilmoth, of Yukon, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service was July 12 at Harvest Fellowship in Brighton.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton was in charge of the arrangements.
